Crossroad's LED Pitches Warmer/Amber Tone LED Streetlights in Angel Fire, New Mexico

Comment if Angel Fire really did retrofit to Amber LED streetlights. I would like to hear from anybody on here on this. When I get a chance, I'll try to post a survey for everyone to take on Streetlighting Concerns, ranging from the WHITE LIGHT GLARE issues to those who can't handle the Warmer Amber Lighting. Give me time on this though. Because I am not made of a lot of materials to do something like this. You can just comment in my petition here to see if Angel Fire New Mexico really did make these changes or are working on it.

Crossroad's LED CEO, Stefanoff recently visited Angel Fire back in February explaining the harsh white lights that Angel Fire and many other New Mexico cities that are still using white LED streetlights to keep their cities, "Safe". However, as more and more scientific and cultural backing continues to grow, so does the economic strangle that follows. So, what did Stefanoff Say and what did the Council of Angel Fire respond. Stefanoff Argued that the white LED streetlights that Angel Fire started using explained that they violate the State's Dark Sky ordinance and that explains how the use of white LED streetlighting puts harm on wildlife and is affecting the residents there at night. Full Article here and In-Depth Story to give you the full background and Stefanoff's important core argument on the harsh blinding white LED streetlights. However, Stefanoff isn't stopping here. As him and his wife continue to make Amber LED streetlights and their Astrophile Series; they also have been growing amongst many U.S. municipalities.

As the current generation of LED streetlighting hits expiration soon, many cities around the UNITED STATES and GLOBALLY have been actively searching for newer, safer and WARMER LED streetlights that are give off LESS THEN 5% of blue light spectrums. This emphasizes my own core value on the Low Pressure Sodium Lights and LEDs that use 2500K or less. The AMA has not updated their max allowed color which still sits at 3000K at max. However, Illinois has recently passed a New Amendment on the color temperature of new LED streetlights to sit at 2500K or less. Even wanting to lower the threshold to 2200K. This Amendment has NOT taken effect yet! But don't let that ruin your day! Because this Amendment is coming off the AMA's 2700k-3000k maximum requirement of Streetlighting in the United States. So, despite the current maximum under this Amendment of sitting at 2700K; they are actively making this lowered to 2500K or less. Because warmer lighting should also have a warmer color. The 3000K argument states that, "They are warm. But they are only this white warm." but that's the problem. Warm White doesn't mean BETTER. As a matter of fact, it makes the glare and sky particles bluer because the Warm White mixing blends in with dust, haze, water vapor, iodizing atoms and so much more our atmosphere already occupies at night. These particles are essential and when they are reflected on Warm or even just White LED streetlights, this makes them reflect and behave in a negative way. Causing the glare and artificial auroras that our cities are causing at night. It doesn't make it better, it makes the scatter worse while keeping the shadow contrasting just as bad with higher color temperature lights.

Here's something that has been of concern though. And I have to add this as an addition to my campaign's movement here because this is just one of these threats to humanity and wildlife altogether. But the 7 Tech Companies want to work on making Satellite Mirrors or Artificial suns in the sky. NOT to INSTILL FEAR here. But once they are launched into our sky, nighttime will become 24-hour daylight, we will lose all sleep and could die from sleep deprivation, and temperatures will warm another 20+Degrees at night. This means, if you live in the Midwest, you'll see temperatures not lowering below 115 degrees and will just slowly climb from there. While there's little to no scientific backing on this. It should be noted that filling our skies with 24-hour artificial suns could result in a rapid hour by hour climbing of temperature with already massive climate changing shifts in 2026. This could kill trees, vaporize water, and turn our planet into mars within a few years. Even if the white coat doesn't fully agree with me, it's not like they would wait till AFTER the FACT that it happened. Based on the already climbing temperatures and droughts, fires, earthquakes and so much more, this shouldn't be treated as rocket science.

Back to my main point though...

As Dalkia's contract is ending by next spring, the New Bids I have here are out. Crossroad's LED Astrophile Series and Access Fixtures Catalog of 2200K Amber LED Streetlights. Best in the business and best for the new wave of LED streetlighting and Retrofitting programs. Also be aware of AI overviews that you will come across that will say, "Albuquerque Residents petitioned for retrofitting for Amber LED streetlights of 2200K-2500K." This answer is NOT fully true. While I maybe emphasizing Albuquerque a lot, it is due to the reasons I had spoken of. I live here, the residents don't like this, this is a high desert city, the mayor has continued to make influencer posts and, "what I want" posts while leaving the majority of the city in decay and wildlife here relies on night skies and even threatens nearby reservations and the land itself. This is why it continues to focus on Albuquerque. Because if any city with a rich background and history is turned into a clinical hospital, it mocks the city's soul and spirit in a way that disrespect becomes a challenge. But I do outreach to other cities.

Another City that's struggling and absolutely refusing to retrofit their lights is Los Angelas California. Again, just like Albuquerque, it sits on a high desert, right beside an ocean, surrounded by reservations, tribal lands and mountains. All which requires warm colored Streetlights that prevent turning the city into a clinical aurora. Residents all across Los Angelas have signed and supported this campaign including Dhar Mann who see that turning a long-standing historical city into a clinical artificial mock; disrespects, mocks and just dishonors the city's long background. Los Angelas Mayor Contact here to take action and say, "I am reaching out on behalf of the white LED streetlight infrastructure. They are bright, disrupt my sleep, are harming nearby wildlife, we live right along the coast where coastal animals rely on dark skies, and we have nearby reservations and astrological sites that can't see the sky over our city. We need to discuss the current contract of the streetlight infrastructure, find ways to tone down the lights to 2200K while maintaining the infrastructure. Thank you!" They may not get back to you, but that doesn't mean the more voices that sign this campaign and speak up, the harder it'll be for them to ignore our voices.

I also have this draft for Albuquerque's Council and 311. "I am reaching out on behalf of our streetlights. I can't sleep at night, they are too bright, they are threatening nearby wildlife, they are causing night sky glare, I can't see the stars or comets, they make it unsafe at night with shadow contortions, and they continue to threaten nearby reservation and tribal lands. These soulless white led streetlights make the city look clinical and depressing. As Dalkia's Contract is nearing its expiration date, can we discuss new biddings such as, Crossroad's LED Astrophile Series or Access Fixtures 2200K LED streetlights for our upcoming new street lighting infrastructure? I would also like to point out PNM's Retrofit Rebate Program as a possible new bidding for the city's streetlights along with other infrastructure issues. Thank you!" A bit lengthy. But, is important because the more that speak up on this with the resources I provide, the harder it is for any mayor or city leader to ignore. This is why I make these simple drafts for you to arm yourself with. So, you don't have to explain yourself. Now I can't "predict" the 311 phone calls and how those at the 311 number will respond. But, it is a reminder, 311 is NOT separated from the main council or city hall office. They make this claim because it's supposed to make it harder on us residents to reach higher corridors. That is why it is important to keep City Hall together, not fragmented or 1by1 shattered.
