Festoon Lights and The Rising Tensions Between City Council and Mayor Tim Keller

After Tim Keller had recently posted on Festoon Lighting Tim Keller's Festoon Lighting Post, City officials and Councilors have been fighting back in City Hall from Dalkia's Contract, to the white LED streetlight terror and other internal chaos that has been happening at the City's highest corridors. The internal chaos that has and continues to bleed out into society, showcases that we the people have the leverage on the WHITE STREETLIGHT TERROR our city leaders brought to a beautiful place.

The internal chaos and rising tensions are turning the City Hall into a Civil War on each other as midterms approach fast and the rising collective of society demands better, safer, cleaner and over all; A better future in the City of Albuquerque. These internal Civil wars aren't just happening at City Hall on a local level though either. They are happening at the highest corridors of D.C. Yes! You heard that right. It seems our government is having its own kind of Civil war that the people aren't falling for. Now back to City Hall of Albuquerque...

As the city's leadership is crumbling fast and officials are having a food fight on "who's right", this is our chance to really start speaking up on the Street lights across our city's infrastructure! I told you that I was banned from emailing the council. But! That doesn't mean I have a team on my side to help keep this movement growing and bring our nighttime skies back again! Ever since Tim Keller has yet again tried another tactic that is actually tied to Dalkia called, "Festoon Lighting". It backfired badly! People demanded that Keller would put a Stop to drug abuse and criminal getaways to homeless messes that continue to flood the city on a daily basis. Many even mocked the lights calling them, "Attracting more druggies". Now before I get hate on regards to the Homeless and Drug problem here, I just need to reiterate this. The PROBLEM ISN'T FROM THE PEOPLE who are doing these things! The Problem is, OUR LEADERS AREN'T MAKING ANY BETTER PATHWAYS for these homeless communities! Yes, they may struggle. Yes, they maybe addicted. But, no! They aren't the real problem. It stems from not making better pathways and safer hopes/futures for these communities. Our leaders are rich enough to make these simpler but major pathways; they just choose not to. Artificial Visuals and Buildings are apparently more appealing to all leaders. Which is a huge problem.

After the Festoon Lighting post and installing tons of bright string lights all around Nobhill and Bricklight District, the sore eye of more WHITE LEDS has been making Nobhill look more like a clinical prison then Nobhill. This is actually really devastating for this area as Nobhill is based on the CULTURAL THEMES of Albuquerque's long history. This also mocks Route 66's known history. Turning the historic Mother Road into a clinical modern prison is just one of the best examples what these white/warm white LED streetlights do to our city. Dalkia's Contract Maintenance tail (which is an additional five years of maintenance of these TRASHY WHITE LED STREETLIGHTS) of 5 years has been facing extreme scrutiny as well. As I have been speaking on New Bids like Crossroads LED Astrophile Series (Amber LED streetlights) and Access Fixtures (the Leading industry in the NEW WAVE of our LED STREETLIGHTS) with Amber 2200K-2500K and Lumens based technologies that make these new LEDs the NEW ORGANIC lighting of the Incandescent bulbs and Sodium Lights of the 20th century.

Streetlighting is a MAJOR part of our history. It was the very thing that was based on protection from the shadows of the night to wielding power of a town into light. But here's the issue. When artificial white/warm white LEDs are favored because they are, "Cost-efficient, Safe, Environmentally friendly" doesn't make them, "better". It actually does the opposite. It harms our sleep rhythms, wildlife, human health, mocks cultural significance, blocks out the night sky and messes with our mental well-being. So, what do we do? I send out resources, Team Amber puts pressure on city leaders and we say, "I am reaching out to you on behalf of the current streetlight infrastructure issues. They are too bright, they block out the night sky, they are harming wildlife and making unsafe for me to drive and make it hard for me to sleep at night. I miss the orange golden hues of the Amber streetlights. In your upcoming board meetings and city meetings, we need to talk about bringing Amber Streetlights back to our city. Because the warm golden nights felt safe, warm and wildlife were thriving. I also have concerns about the rise of wildlife like black bears, mountain lions and coyotes that keep coming into our city at night raiding trash cans and scattering in the streets. Thank you! And my voice should matter."

This simple draft you can use at the 311 Albuquerque's phone number or use the CABQ Contact Us site here to get started. Because there is one thing all of us are tired of and that is, our VOICES aren't being listened to by leaders. But the more pressure we put on them, the harder it becomes for them to keep walking away in the sunset with filled pockets of money.

The grass isn't greener on the other side for these leaders. I will say that! If they fight over what they want, and are starting food fights, we the people can use that leverage to make our voices stronger, heavier, and more impactful. This is the perfect timeframe to unite and start giving them our own carrot to tease them with. That is the MIDTERMS. If they want to lead again? Then let's make our own carrot and start dangling it Infront of them as the midterms approach. Because there's a huge weakness Keller has and that is the Midterms. He loses his influencing fame, and his wealth starts going backwards because he chooses flashy cheap LED streetlights over FRIENDLY WARM streetlights, he won't be smiling or continuing his "influencer behavior" for much longer. I will say that it is most likely over for him. But the next one who may get elected? They need to be aware that AMBER LED STREETLIGHTING is something that should be PRIORTIZED on top of the many other issues Keller won't fix. He's more focused on being famous with his wealth rather than simply focusing on the people. And sadly, a lot of our U.S. POLITICIANS are doing this. Posting tiktoks about how they went to Mar-a-largo, Disney, fancy hotels and much more. Acting like it's a "cosplay video game". But we the people know this. If your state is refusing to hear your voice, then let's keep growing this uniting force, let's show that the collective has the power. Not the Reds or Blues. But Team Amber and many other grassroots movements that have been growing in momentum! Thank you all for continuing to support, help and growing this movement! Let's keep our politicians in this leg-locked chokehold until they choose us over their toys and money!
