The discontinuation of activity busses at Waubonsie Valley High School has significantly impacted the participation of students in extracurricular activities. These buses provided a vital service for many students who otherwise would not have a means to return home after school activities. According to the American Psychological Association, involvement in extracurricular activities is linked to lower dropout rates, improved academic performance, and enhanced psychological well-being among students (APA). By reinstating activity busses, we can ensure that all our children have equal opportunities to participate in these beneficial activities regardless of their transportation situation.
