RETURN BABY R TO HER FAMILY-Family Separation right here in America

The Issue

A beautiful African American baby girl who we will call Baby R was taken from the hospital and given to white foster parents. In lieu of the fact that baby R's Aunt, Latasha James McNeal, and the James family were there, ready and willing to take her into their care and custody. When baby R was born (2019), the James family (her blood relatives) visited her daily in the hospital for two weeks straight, waiting for the opportunity to take her into their care. Three weeks after her birth a private agency, One Hope United in Chicago IL some how gained custody of baby R from DCFS and placed her in the custody of white foster parents. After months, and years of conversations and court cases with One Hope United, and the white foster parents. Both parties are still refusing to place baby R in the custody of her real family. The James Family have diligently pursued the matter according to the law. Yet spite the fact that in situations like this, the Illinois DCFS policy states "family first", the foster parents, the Agency and their GAL (Gaurdian at Litem)have handled this policy with disregard and disrespect.
.
Baby R's aunt, LaTasha James McNeal is a care taker by trade. Shes worked in a nursing home for 25 years. Is currently a certified foster parent under the state of Illinois. Has raised several of her nieces and nephews. And is currently legal guardian of two of her nieces. Yet One Hope United and the foster family are refusing to place baby R where she rightfully belongs. With her aunt LaTasha, and the James family. In November 2020 a circuit court judge ruled that baby Roslyn should be with her aunt LaTasha James McNeal. Spite the Circuit court judges ruling. One Hope United and the foster family refused to place baby R in the rightful custody of her aunt, LaTasha. Subsequent to this refusal, the foster parents filled an appeal that went to Appellate court. We believe the foster parents along with One Hope United are using stalling tactics, and looking to appeal until baby R's real family can not afford to continue. This is legalized kidnapping. And it is wrong on all levels. We suspect some Pay-to-Play foster parenting is going on here. Baby Roslyn needs to be with her family, and this tragedy of family separation needs to be exposed. One Hope United is giving everything but hope. Help the James family put social pressure on this unethical organization and the foster parents, to return baby Roslyn to her rightful place. Under the permanent care and legal guardianship of her real family. The James family. Bring Baby R Home!
