“He was it” “ You don’t want to challenge him, because he’s in charge of everything; he decides who stays, who goes, who gets stories” “If you are someone that’s going to make a problem for him, he would just call you a budget cut and get rid of you”

He would chuckle after making inappropriate or offensive comments with a jokey comment about what would happen if HR ever knew about his behavior.

Alaar said the allegations against him were mischaracterizations and false. And blamed them on recent budget cuts.

He also said “ in a time of Industry wide cutbacks, she {Arianne} was aggressively seeking a significant personal pay increase {She wanted the same pay as her male co-stars} and additional influence on the show {she wanted everyone to be treated equal and with respect}

And he thinks she was {Exploiting vile stereotypes to denigrate him, a black man, in a position of power”

Um Power is a subjective word here.. as Co-Executive producer he’s in charge of everything but as also a man.. he’s used his power in an unhealthy way toward female cast and crew. He admitted to some of the allegations and Ari documented all of her HR visits and the retaliation that occurred during that time. Instead of things getting better with him.. he was said to have escalated.
losing her travel stipend- budget cut

having her pay decreased when none of her male co stars pay was decreased - budget cut

writing her out of the show- budget cut?

The real story wasn’t on the show.. it was the show.
It’s time to right this wrong with Arianne. They didn’t try to keep her. Should her last air date come with no resolution.. I wish them well.
Those of disgusted by all this will no longer be subscribing to Peacock. Maybe then they will take notice
