Statement from Corday Productions regarding Arianne’s lawsuit. “The allegations in Ms Zucker’s lawsuit are without merit. Corday Productions offered to renew her contract, including offering her a pay increase. Rejecting Ms. Zucker’s counter offer does not constitute retaliation”

Albert Alaar’s statement: “Her baseless allegations were examined in a detailed and entirely independent investigation that lasted 2 months. Dozens of individuals cooperated and every claim was thoroughly looked into. At the end of that process, the decision was made that Albert would continue in his role as co-executive producer of Days of Our Lives.
As Ms Zucker’s own lawsuit admits, at a time of industry wide cutbacks, she was aggressively seeking a significant personal pay increase and additional influence on the show.

Having failed in these attempts she is now again trying to exploit vile stereotypes to denigrate and demean a Black man who was in a position of power”

The timeline of Arianne’s complaint. March 2023 several female employees were fired. There was a complete dissolution of the all female PR department.
Female contracts were not renewed or they were not returning because of the way they were treated on the show. Females were moved to recurring roles feeling like if they do or say something it would be swept under the rug or they would be fired.

Having had enough Arianne approached Ken Corday who then referred her to another person who referred her to Sony HR.

In April 2024 Ari contacted Corday to let him know things weren’t improving and the workplace was still hostile. She offered suggestions to which he replied angrily “Well I don’t know what to do about that”

In May 2023 Ari was notified that her rate of pay was being decreased and her travel stipend was being discontinued.

At the end of June they wrote her out of the show with no response to whether her character would return. She reported this retaliation to Sony and they have refused to provide her with their investigation findings

Arianne had to get her lawyer involved to return to the show. she was off the show for 19 episodes. This equals a month of pay.

Albert Alaar was only terminated after the situation went National when reported by Deadline.  And a petition signed by some of the cast and crew was drafted because they didn’t feel comfortable with Corday production wanting to keep Alaar.

The allegations against Alaar were many. We will delve into that tomorrow.

Please continue sharing. Describing a strong woman has being aggressive, or trying to demean and denigrate a Black man in a position of power.. when this is about a man abusing his position of power is wrong.

Arianne wanted to be paid what her male co stars were making, she wanted to be valued and respected, she wanted to continue in her role and have her job benefits continue.
This is about the women of this show being treated as well as the men are and not treated as second class citizens who if they speak up could have their role decreased or even be fired. They felt like if they spoke up they could lose their job because Alaar would control who stays, who goes and who gets storylines, etc.
