Thank you to everyone who has signed and supported this petition!
This week, I shared the proposal for a Covered Community Wellness Pavilion in Irvine parks with members of the Irvine City Council, including the office of Larry Agran.
Today, the City responded and shared that the idea has been added to the City's list of unfunded projects. Staff also indicated that the proposal may be reviewed as part of the upcoming Parks Master Plan update, when future funding opportunities are considered.
This means the idea is now officially on the City’s radar, which is an encouraging first step.
The City also shared that there is currently a Nature Park study underway for the Oak Creek Golf Course area, and community members are invited to share ideas for future park amenities.
If you support having a covered outdoor space for Tai Chi, yoga, line dancing, and other wellness activities, please also consider submitting feedback through the City’s community survey:

We will continue sharing this petition to gather more support from Irvine residents. Every signature helps demonstrate the community’s interest in creating more welcoming and inclusive outdoor wellness spaces.
Thank you again for your support!
