MPNP has stopped nominating people under Skilled Workers Overseas Close Relatives in Manitoba Stream and the last draw which took place under this stream was held in July 2019. Since then MPNP has been nominating unskilled labor in NOC C and D level skills under MPNP Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream, most of them international students who have no connection with Manitoba and moving from other Canadian province after finishing their studies in other Canadian provinces just to get their PR before moving back to Ontario and British Columbia.

In addition to that MPNP has been nominating cooks and food service supervisors in huge numbers, some of those numbers are completely nonsense for example some hotels and small restaurants are supporting 5 to 6 people at same time for their nomination, none of those students have ever studied anything remotely related to become a Cook or Chef but bureaucrats at MPNP don't care and facts does not mean anything to them. Some restaurants and small hotels are still supporting multiple applications for MPNP nomination while those places have been closed since last 6 months due to Covid 19 but bureaucrats at MPNP don't care and they just wanted to punish highly skilled and educated workers overseas whose siblings are Manitoba residents since many years and permanently settled and made Manitoba their permanent home.

Meanwhile so many Manitoban families are struggling to bring their highly educated and skilled sibling to Manitoba via MPNP Skilled Workers Overseas, Close Relatives in Manitoba Stream, due to this policy change, so many Manitoban families are under extreme stress and getting hurt daily due to such unannounced policy shift. 

Many families who are getting hurt due to this cruel policy have written multiple emails to MPNP in this regard sharing their concerns but so far MPNP has been telling them that this program is still active but they can't tell when MPNP will start nominating people again under this stream, such uncertainty and ambiguity around this program kept increasing the stress for so many Manitoban families who wanted to help settle their siblings to Manitoba permanently with them. 

We have started this petition to bring this issue into the knowledge of Manitoba Premier and Minister responsible for immigration regarding the suffering and pain of all Manitoban families who are getting hurt due to this policy.

Both other Canadian Provinces in Prairies award extra points and gave clear preference to residents of their respective provinces who want to help move their siblings to those provinces and live their permanently. For Example Alberta under their AINP Express Entry Stream give first and clear preference to those people who have a sibling living in Alberta as Alberta Resident. In Saskatchewan, SINP give extra 20 points to any applicant who have a sibling living in Saskatchewan as resident of Saskatchewan and those 20 extra point make sure that all people who have a sibling living in Saskatchewan as resident get nominated, 100 percent guaranteed. In comparison MPNP choose to help unskilled international students from other Canadian province under NOC C and D skill level to get easy pass for MPNP supported PR and once received they did not even spend a single second in our province and move out, unfortunately all this is coming on the cost of our loved ones, our siblings who genuinely want to settle with us in Manitoba.

SINP and AINP nominate almost 25 % out of their of their annual federal quota for people who have a sibling living in those respective provinces, Manitoba nominate 0 percent, even a 10 percent quota from annual MPNP federal quota (around 650 annual nominations) will be more than enough for Manitoba residents who want to help their siblings settle in Manitoba permanently.

We are requesting to Premier of Manitoba Brain Pallister and Minister of Economic Development and Training Ralph Eichler to intervene in this matter and change this cruel policy and provide level playing field to our siblings also, right now there is no path whatsoever for our siblings to settle in Manitoba under MPNP, so please change this cruel policy for the betterment of your constituents.
