Thank you for rallying together for Hyde Park Square – and for supporting all of our beautiful city neighborhoods threatened by big developers who don’t follow the rules.
An update on the Hyde Park Square redevelopment: Despite all the feedback the developer received from residents and countless meetings held with representatives from the Hyde Park Neighborhood Council (HPNC), our requests to rein in the Hyde Park Square project’s height and density have been completely ignored.
Not only has the lead developer, PLK Communities, chosen to completely disregard current zoning laws - it has forced out more than 10 flourishing independent small businesses from the Square.
That’s why the HPNC voted (unanimously) to hire an attorney to shepherd us through the rest of the zone change process.
And that means we are now officially raising funds to support this cause.
If you are able to contribute to this effort, please click here to give money via HPNC’s website. Checks are also accepted and encouraged. They can be made out to Hyde Park Neighborhood Council and sent to: HPNC, P.O. Box 8064, Cincinnati, Ohio 45208. Please write “Legal Fees” in the memo. Your donations may be tax deductible, given that HPNC is a 501(c)(3) organization.
Donations given via the petition website, change.org, do not go to Save Hyde Park Square. You must click through the links in this message or go directly to www.hydepark-cincinnati.org for your donation to go HPNC legal fees.
We know that many of you feel as strongly as we do that this proposed development could truly ruin our beloved Hyde Park Square – and could set a dangerous precedent that could affect many of our city’s historic neighborhoods. Thank you for continuing to support this fight.
