The Amazon is the largest and most famous rainforest in the world, however, it has been plagued by many issues in the past few decades. Poaching, deforestation and land clearance are just a few of these problems but there are many more. Did you know that over 20% of the Amazon has already been lost? Many of this has been through illegal logging operations but the Brazilian government is not implementing enough change to stop this. By just losing another 20-40% we could cause a large scale biome shift which would result in many animal deaths and the loss of almost all of the forest. We must prevent this has so many species, including humans, rely so heavily on this rainforest. Even now there are close to 150 acres of the Amazon lost every minute. This results in over 78 million acres lost every year. The Amazon is home to so many beautiful and wonderful species of plants and animals, some of which cannot be found anywhere else. If we want for our future generations to be able to see this incredible rainforest and all of the amazing life inside of it, we must stop the destruction.

We will try to get the voice of the people out so that we can help save this amazing biome. Our goal is to get 1,000 people to sign this petition but it would be extremely helpful if more could sign as well.
