There have been documentations on dogs and cats developing Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, OCD, after sessions of playing with laser pointers.

Many owners had experience with dogs displaying neurotic behaviors such as constantly searching for the red dot for hours, chasing shadows, reflections and light. Many have destroyed blinds, lampshades, and walls. It is effecting many cats as well. I experienced it with my youngest cat. When I first got a laser pointer for my cats, I thought nothing wrong would happen... there was no warning about anything. I pressed the button, red dot appeared on the wall, and my kitten was playing with it! She was chattering when she couldn’t get to the dot. It was adorable! I decided to finish the session and she constantly chattered and paced around hunting for laser dot for an hour. That behavior concerned me greatly and I started researching on OCD and there was many cases!  

Therefore, I would like every brand who uses laser pointers to label a warning that it can cause OCD in dogs and cats. Many pet owners do not and will not know unless there is a warning label! Please sign and help dogs and cats stay sane.
