This petition is deeply personal. As an avid follower of the Eurovision Song Contest, I am disheartened by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and Eurovision's lack of response to Israel's ongoing conflict with Palestine. Despite clear evidence of human rights violations, they have not held Israel to the same standards as Russia, who was banned for their actions against Ukrainians.

Israel's participation in the upcoming Eurovision 2024 Final on May 11th is a stark reminder that we are indirectly supporting these atrocities by tuning in. According to Human Rights Watch, Israeli forces have been involved in repeated abuses against Palestinians including unlawful killings and unnecessary use of force (Human Rights Watch Annual Report 2023).

It is time for us viewers to take a stand against this injustice. By boycotting the Eurovision 2024 Final, we can send a powerful message that human rights violations should never be overlooked or normalized.

We urge you all not just to switch off your televisions on May 11th but also spread awareness about this issue among your friends and family members. Let our collective action resonate with EBU and Eurovision authorities so they reconsider their stance on such matters.
