Boycott The Daily Telegraph (Australia)
The issue
A growing number of Australians are deeply concerned by the Daily Telegraph’s repeated contribution to climates of demonisation, racist stereotyping, and hostility toward minority communities, including Muslim communities, First Nations People, Chinese communities, Afghans, refugees, Africans, Lebanese, Pacifica and others.
This campaign seeks to place advertisers on notice that continued advertising in the Daily Telegraph is a brand risk. An independent report is being collated to document these harms, while a national boycott campaign and Change.org petition are mobilising public support across Australia. The campaign calls on brands to suspend advertising with the Daily Telegraph, and to recognise that public tolerance for funding harmful media environments is rapidly diminishing.

This is not about one isolated article or one disagreement over opinion. It is about a sustained media environment that has contributed to suspicion, humiliation, and public hostility toward already targeted communities.
We are asking brands to:
- Review their advertising relationship with the Daily Telegraph
- Suspend advertising while this issue is being examined
- Recognise the reputational and social cost of continued association
People across Australia are waking up to the fact that corporate money helps sustain toxic public discourse. Brands cannot claim to value inclusion, trust, and responsibility while funding media environments that repeatedly harm vulnerable communities.
Sign this petition to tell advertisers: stop funding the Daily Telegraph (Australia).
