Many Warren county citizens are outraged that Mitch McConnell voted to hold blameless the former president for the January 6th attack on the capital. They request that both Mitch McConnell Way and Mitch McConnell park have their name changed to something less inflammatory. We have many local citizens who are more deserving of recognition than our Mitch McConnell. These landmarks serve as a constant reminder of the shameful conduct of Mr. McConnell and are a slap in the face to the brave police officers who died in the attempted insurrection, not to mention the residents of the county who believe that justice was not done . Our leaders on the Fiscal Court and City Commission should immediately act to rename these landmarks. We call on these bodies to act without delay.
