Trophy hunters pay to hunt the biggest and the best example of the specific wildlife species.  They are not going to pay handsomely to kill any lesser member of the species. “Ethical” hunters will tell you that they only select a worrisome, older elephant for their clients to kill. We do not believe that this is the norm and if you look at the photographs presented by the hunters of their kill, the animals all look in very good condition and always magnificent.
