Hello – I have received multiple requests for an update, and while I will share all I can, unfortunately not much has progressed to our knowledge regarding the school. We have received an email from a representative of the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work asking to meet last week. We gratefully accepted the invite mid-week, but we are unfortunately still waiting to hear back. There has been no other response from the USC administration. We have been contacted by representatives from the press/media and have responded accordingly.

As an additional note: there has been a great deal of surprise and concern expressed by active professors within the School of Social Work. Many have indicated that they were neither consulted nor aware of changes that are slated to take place.

There is still a lot of speculation, but I felt the need to address some of the messages I have been receiving regarding participation in this movement. There are many individuals out there who are in support of this petition, however, they are apprehensive to sign because they are "afraid of being blackballed” or “scared of retaliation” by USC. I hope this prompts a larger discussion about the integrity of USC and its affiliates, as well as addressing what environment is being cultivated in the face of seeking change.
