Today, the Friends of the Prouty Garden (FPG) submitted to the DPH a new report analyzing the Hospital's efforts to create a massive new complex in the Longwood Medical Area of Boston. The report contends that the proposed $1 billion expansion project at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) would further restrict access to quality pediatric services for Massachusetts Medicaid patients and indigent children, while expanding services to wealthy, private-paying international patients. It says that the Hospital is neglecting its fiduciary duty as a Massachusetts non-profit organization by systematically rolling back access to its services by Medicaid patients and other medically indigent children. You can read the entire report and our press release on our website, here: http://www.saveprouty.org/blog/2016/5/12/report-childrens-retreats-from-caring-for-poor. We have reached a crucial stage in our process and are very much in need of your financial support. Everything involved with this effort, from the legal fees, PR support, online communications, in-person events, and more, requires a good deal of money (in addition to an incredible amount of volunteer hours) to keep going. Please, if you are at all in a position to help us continue this fight, consider making a donation today through our GoFundMe fundraiser, at https://www.gofundme.com/saveprouty. Thank you very much for your ongoing support of this critical cause!
