Hi supporter,
Richard has now been on hunger strike, outside of the foreign office, for eleven days. At the weekend he endured hours of heavy rain and although the rain is now holding off the temperature has started to plummet.
Yesterday evening our team visited the camp again.
Despite the harsh conditions, Richard is staying resolute. He is planning to continue his hunger strike. He wants Parliament to understand the impact that Nazanin’s continued absence has on his family. He wants the Secretary of State, Liz Truss, to understand the real life consequences of failing to prioritise Nazanin’s release. And he wants the Iranian Government to know that this is not a story that is going away.
At this critical time Richard needs your help.
Dozens of MPs have visited Richard but there are still hundreds more who have stayed away. Richard is camping less than a five minute walk from Parliament, outside the foreign office. You can support Richard by writing to your MP today asking them to visit Richard and hear his story.
Here’s a link to a free website which makes it quick and easy to email your MP.
Thank you for your continued support and action on behalf of Richard, Nazanin, and their loved ones.
