I am a single mother living in a 1 bedroom property with my 4 year old daughter. My local council have said I am eligible for a 2-bed property now but unfortunately the council do not have any properties available but I can rent privately.

I have been searching and have done a lot of property viewing but keep getting denied as soon as the landlord or estate agent finds out that I have some help from the council. I have the money to pay the deposit and I will be able to afford the rent and bills.

This is discrimination! it's unfair on the people who need a little help from the council. Let's make a change and give everyone a fair chance In life to have a home.

Not everyone has someone to be a guarantor!
