Collision - Mid Devon / Devon County Council - Change

On 07/05. I arrived roughly a minute later after a fatal collision had just taken place between a car and a bike; sights were not pleasant I saw distressed family members and the looks on police officer's faces that I hadn't seen before. I was at the scene of a total of - 2hr 40 minutes.

The collision took place just after Hookway Cross (Downes Mill) heading towards Exeter, just after the crest.

Just yards before the area the zone goes from a 40mph > 60mph (Just after Ladds guns) We know in the recent years, close to the fatality there has been a number of collisions on this road.

Actually, I took the time to do some research.

So, from Ladds Guns to Quick's Farm there has been 12 'recorded' crashes since 2016, one being fatal of course, the shocking distance of 1.4m

On this stretch of road of 1.4m there are:

-  Bus Stops - there are 3, two with narrow pavements.
-  Children - In school terms they wait on the side of the road waiting to be collected     by school buses.
- Corner Houses - children live in these houses where they could step out.
- Postbox - It's on the grass on the corner.
- Junctions - It's hard to turn in and out of these junctions due to the flow of fast       traffic.

The roads and cars are simply getting faster and faster and in the below area I am calling without prejudice for the national speed limit that applies climbing the hill out of crediton on Codshead Bridge EX17 3PW is removed and replaced on the junction of Five Elms Lane EX5 5AY and the 30mph zone then still applies approaching Netwon St Cyres. A small stretch of 0.4m of 60mph to legally overtake before slowing for the new speed limits approaching Netwon St Cyres.

We're not invincible, it was sad what I witnessed. I pass through the area with caution every day on my moped or bike and rethink the moments.

On the night of 07/05 and the next my partner noticed that I was having strange episodes of jolting and panicking randomly.
