Its a bitter sweet day for us as today as we have just been advised by Barnet councils legal team that they have no plans to release the 'viability assessment' for the public inquiry that is coming up this month. This is just not good enough. Public land has been handed over, people are being forced from their homes and there appears to be not even a hint of a willingness to show transparency or accountability for the process. The next two weeks are massively important for many families on the West Hendon estate and we are calling on all our supporters to join us for a public march and rally from the estate to Hendon Town Hall to make the public inspector hear just how determined the public are, not just here in Barnet but across London to councils and developers riding roughshod across communities.
