There hasn't been much to update you all with. The current political uncertainty has meant that issues, such as buffer zones, are getting put to the wayside. Hopefully, we can gather some more momentum soon.

Here is an update on the Ealing buffer zone ruling, I am very happy to say it was positive!

Last month the Court of Appeal upheld the buffer zone Ealing Council put in place last year.

Since putting a stop to the harassment and intimidation of women outside Marie Stopes on Mattock Lane, they have been challenged in the courts by the protesters – but the council’s work has been upheld by the High Court and now by the Court of Appeal.

The judgment said that it was clear that some women had suffered long-term emotional and psychological harm as a result of the activity outside the clinic, and that women should expect to have the privacy to make decisions about whether or not to continue their pregnancy.

Although this ruling is great news for the women of Ealing, campaigners are still working to bring in national buffer zones so that no women are subject to anti-abortion protests as they’re seeking care.

Thank you for your continued support
