Sorry for the, not inconsiderable, delay in updates. Hectic start to the year! There has been a number of developments over the last few months; reports of anti abortion protesters live streaming outside of clinics to FB, street protests in Cambridge and Plymouth (quick Google search will show how the situation is getting worse). I have just emailed my MP using the template on the Back Off website and I urge you to do the same. If you have emailed your MP before then thank you so much but with the general election soon, now is the time to remind them that this issue has not gone away. If you can, please add your own words to the email as they are more likely to respond if you do so. I sent my MP a link to this petition so that they can see how strongly people feel about keeping women and clinic staff safe. I genuinely fear for the future of safe access to abortion. I know I ask a lot of you so am really grateful for any support that you can give: Share on social media Email friends/family Lobby your MP, local council and local political parties (esp if they are door knocking for the GE!) Write to your local newspapers or national ones! (You can support this petition financially via this website but I am not asking for your money). If you see a street protest, maybe consider a counter protest? Ask your local clinic if there is anything you can do to support women. Some people volunteer to escort women to and from the clinics.
