Sorry that I haven't updated this petition in a while. Ill health and the school holidays have had to take priority. We are so close to 160 000 supporters now! I could never have envisaged such a response when I started this petition last year, thank you all so much :) I'm going to get on with emailing MPs again to make them aware of this petition and the strength of feeling behind it. Anti abortion protests have not stopped and the longer they are allowed to continue, the more at risk women and abortion services become. I am heartened by the trending #ShoutYourAbortion where women are being so brave to share their experience of abortion to take away the stigma and end the silence. None of this should be necessary but there is an uneasy feeling that our hard earned right to access a safe and LEGAL abortion are under threat. The more abortion is spoken about, the more opportunity we have to dispel myths and take on those who want to control what women do with their bodies. Best wishes E xxx
