During the Present pandemic it Is essential for the UK government to keep schools closed until September when PPE can provide it to all schools staff.

Currently 50% of all students collected from schools are collected by grandparents as students can be asymptomatic and show no signs during their time at school this will put all staff and their families at greater risk along with grandparents.

I see no reason why a student should be made to feel that they killed their grandparents/mother/father or friend by opening schools just to get the economy up and running earlier.

Reopening schools before September will also put a greater mental health pressure on student and staff.
