The last 24 hours have been... interesting, to say the least.
We've had media coverage in most national newspapers, as well as on national and local radio stations, television channels, and all over social media. In that time, the petition has gone from just over 1000 to more than 150,000 signatures - and I'm so thankful to every one of you for your support.
If the Government doesn't back down, we're serious about taking this further. I’m working with a nonprofit called Foxglove, who have a proven track record of challenging the Government on its use of algorithms. We've assembled a team of expert lawyers, and we think we have a strong case.
This is urgent. The decisions the Government have made have already had such a broad impact on students all over the UK. We need to be ready to go to the courts. My legal team aren’t charging me, but we need to raise some money to protect against what lawyers call “adverse costs”.
Can you donate to our crowdfunder?
If you can’t donate to the crowdfunder, that’s okay – this year has brought difficult times for so many people. Please consider sharing the campaign on Facebook or Twitter to make sure we can reach as many people as possible.
Once again, thank you so much for your support – it means so much to me, and to everyone who’s been affected by this nightmare.
