Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells (BMMSCs) injected intrathecally (spinal injection) if approved by NICE and the NHS would treat MND sufferers until NurOwn is approved. The latter is an enhanced more potent version of the patient's own BMMSCs using the NurOwn process which helps the BMMSCs produce neurotrophic factors thereby growing nerve tissue.

The NurOwn process also harvests the BMMSCs to produce a two year supply.
