Fireworks are

#1  Horrible for the environment (Fireworks create highly toxic gases and pollutants that poison the air, the water and the soil, making them toxic to birds, wildlife, pets, livestock — and people*)

#2 The loud gun-shot noises trigger veterans with PTSD and autistic people

#3 Terrifies pets/wildlife and end up getting misplaced from their families (The noise, lights, sparks, flames, and fumes can cause psychological and physical harm **)

All for a few moments of pretty lights in the sky!

Fireworks are very dangerous, Ireland requires anyone using fireworks to have a professional fireworks operator present at the display and the sale of fireworks is very restricted. There are many US States that have also banned the use of fireworks.

Please sign this petition if you believe that city of Mississauga should ban the use of fireworks.
