I hope everyone can join us at the old library building tomorrow at 1pm. We are asking the Council to create a local education centre, library and a cafe at the Chapel at Astley Bridge Cemetery. We have to be creative if we want our library back and to save the chapel at the same time. Think outside the box. The old library building has now gone to Franking Sense, and after campaigning to save the chapel the last thing I or anyone else would want to see is this beautiful building be demolished. Tomorrow: Please print or write what a library in Astley Bridge means to you - or what the Chapel means to you - OR BOTH. And on the other side in big letters please put WE WANT OUR LIBRARY BACK. After the photo at the old library tomorrow (1pm) I will collect your pieces of paper as I'd like to include these in with the petition when we hand it in at the next Council meeting to the Mayor. Please please show up and show your support. Drag your friends and family out. Urge them to write down why they want a library - get your kids to write something, get your dog/hamster/cat to write something!! Let's fight to save this building and get our library back!!
