The Lowell Pool has been a popular location for the community of the North End since 1953. It has been said that there are only 12 above-ground pools like it left in the entire United States. It is one of the greatest parts of the neighborhood, and it would be a shame if it went away. So imagine my surprise when I heard a rumor that it will be shut down.

If it is shut down, all of the other pools in the city of Boise will become more crowded and people will have to drive further. As anyone who has been to Fairmont Pool pre-pandemic can attest to, pools in Boise are already crowded enough. Boise needs more pools, not less!

If we stick together, we can change this. Vote for this petition enough and we can get Boise Parks and Recreation to change their mind, contemplate it some more, or at least tell us for certain whether it is going to be closed. They say they will inspect Lowell Pool for safety, but it is already very safe. All they need to do is read the reviews on Google!

So, if you like Lowell Pool and want to continue going to it, please consider voting for this petition. It would mean a lot to me and the community of the North End and will get us noticed by Boise Parks and Recreation. I wish you all luck and goodbye!
