This is a petition to finally require Canton Police Department members to wear body cameras while conducting official business with its citizens. We need to drive a new culture of accountability and fairness. CPD has a long history of bad policing. Let's hold these officers accountable. Something to note-- if we are able to get a policy like this passed, watch how many CPD officers request lateral transfers to other departments without a body cam policy.

It can also assist in evaluating an officer's performance during critical incidents, aiding in performance reviews and identifying training needs.
