It is clear that the Board of Directors (by way of Bob Nilson, President) and the Committee Chairs (John Jesse, Sports Committee Chair and Joe Racelis, House Committee Chair) are intent on limiting or altogether preventing non-committee member involvement in addressing the sunledge issue. Despite any rule or written precedent (it is simply "at the discretion of the chair"), arbitrary obstructionism is the path the leaders at Westwood are taking.

We are being given 15 minutes, collectively, to address the Sports Committee tonight (similarly, we will have only 15 minutes, collectively, to address the House Committee on Wednesday) after which point all non-committee members will be required to leave "to protect the committee members who may be deterred from talking freely." This intentional lack of transparency is appalling. We will be working on a script to make the most of those 15 minutes and plan to print/deliver the long list of petition signatures we have received in a matter of only 72 hours. PLEASE continue to forward around the email you received and please consider attending tonight's sports committee meeting (either in person - Forrest Hill room, or via Zoom, it makes no difference at all, we just need your presence) as it is clear a show of force will be needed to get the attention of those in charge.
