The new bus gates in Aberdeen City Centre will close off large sections of Market St, Bridge St, and Guild St to those with disabilities who require cars to get around.

It is unfair that these individuals will face increased difficulty in accessing city centre businesses and facilities, including transportation links at Union Square.

As such, Councillors must vote to carve out an exemption to the new restrictions for those with blue badges. 

Taxis and goods vehicles will be allowed to access the 'bus priority route' - disabled Aberdonians deserve the same treatment.
