Blenheim Palace is a country house in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England. It is the seat of the Duke of Marlborough and the only non-royal, non-episcopal country house in England to hold the title of palace.

They are allowing the shooting and killing of migrating birds flying over and into the palace, many of which are being reported by local people as injured and left in pain. One local even posted a picture of a blood splattered car, where an injured bird had tried to fly over it. For years, these geese have been stopping at Blenheim lakes to rest on their journey.  This year, when they do so, they are shot as they seek that rest stop.  

Blenheim is a multi million pound attraction, and I am quite sure it does not need to sell it’s soul by behaving in this way. 

Please please join me in expressing your outrage at this horrible abuse. Blenheim needs to know that it’s visitors and customers will not stand idly by with the sound of gunshot echoing around our community as these majestic and beautiful birds are blown from the sky by merciless hunters. 

With enough signatures on this petition, I am hoping they will reconsider this inhumane killing and focus on the millions of pounds they make each year from the grounds and palace, the various musical and themed events that run without this blood on their hands.
