ICCPR Article 20(2) — prohibition of religious hatred and incitement
UN Resolution 16/18 (2011) — combating religious intolerance
UN Resolution 76/250 (2021) — condemning Islamophobia
UDHR Article 18 — protection of religious belief and dignity
GOVERNMENT FAILURE
Despite clear evidence and massive public outcry, the Indian government has:
Not arrested or charged the accused
Not registered a formal criminal case
Not removed the blasphemous content publicly
Not responded to peaceful complaints by Muslim citizens
OUR DEMANDS
We respectfully request the UNHRC to:
Formally recognize this as a violation of international religious freedom standards
Direct India to arrest and prosecute Nazia Ilahi Khan under applicable law
Order removal of all related blasphemous content from public platforms
Demand a written response from the Indian government within 30 days
Refer this case to the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion for urgent review
