Universities already extended learning periods until March 2021 but they are not willing to continue giving students their allowances for foods, rent etc. We are pleading Dr Blade to postpone NSFAS until the end of academic period thank you. More students are depending to this allowance due to their background and environment.

Currently students are doing e-learning assessments with no data for assessing internet, no cash for printing out attachments and scanning whilst the institutions are busy giving them tasks. More students are staying off campus residents meaning they have to pay for their tenants and buy food.

If the Minister of Higher education real wanna close this allowance there will be more dropout from Tertiary levels due to students go for work. Some students are bread winners at their homestead so they support their families through NSFAS, if they no more receive such cash poverty will rise.

Some of the universities hasn’t distributed learning materials equally ie Laptops and hard copies for those who don’t have access to internet. With this allowance students can manage to go to Internet cafe to proceed with e-learning as normal especially those who don’t have laptops for learning. Since our very own Minister failed to deliver what he promised to do.
