Petition updateBLACKOUTS WILL BE DEVASTATING! THEY MUST BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTSINFO 03 REF BLIGHT IS DECIMATING OUR BIRDS BATS AND BEES WHERE ARE THE WILDLIFE PROTECTION GROUPS?

Hi Team members,

Rural Australia is being covered by the rushed roll out of unreliable Solar farms, Wind farms, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and connecting High Voltage (HV) Transmission Lines. I believe the rollout is spreading a Renewable Energy Factory Blight (REFB) on Rural Australia with devastating consequences.

The consequences are: A. Permanently removing, millions of hectares of agricultural land from production. B. Hugely increasing the risk of uncontrollable wildfires, which will threaten the safety of Country living. C. Slaughtering our unique wildlife in numbers leading to extinction. D. Permanently polluting land, along with surface and underground water runoff. E. Blighting the renowned scenic beauty and peacefulness of the landscape, along with despoiling tourism attractions”. F. Devaluing land values and country lifestyles.

REF Blight Effect 3. Slaughtering of our unique wildlife leading to extinction. Australia’s wildlife is unique and needs to be protected at all costs. In particular the affect that wind turbines have on birds, bats and bees is devastating. As birds, bats and bees can move over a wide area, wind turbines can have an effect over a very wide area. Particularly with Wedge Tail Eagles, if one pair is killed off, another moves in to take their place, they are killed off and the cycle continues. As Wedge Tail Eagles, live long and breed slowly it is not beyond the possibility of them becoming extinct. In any other areas to kill off Wedge Tail Eagles, bring with it heavy fines and even imprisonment. The operators of Wind Farms should not be exempt from these provisions.

This video clearly shows how dangerous wind turbines are to Eagles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NAAzBArYdw

The list of damage to our wildlife and their habitat is endless. Such as putting Snowy 2 in a National Park. Cutting tracks through National Parks for HV Transmission lines. Putting Wind Farms close the National Parks (what stops the endangered birds in the National Park flying into the Wind turbine?).

(More explanations of the other consequences of REFBs, will be explained in future updates.)

I see these consequences of the RFBs, as being so serious, that the TRANSISTION TO RENEWABLES will have to be stopped and consequentially fail. It then becomes more important that our current coal fired power stations be kept running and the closed ones restarted.

Please promote our petition as widely as possible. https://www.change.org/p/blackouts-will-be-devastating-they-must-be-avoided-at-all-costs I would value it if you are able to donate $20 or $50 to promote the petition on Change.org and also promote it on Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp or Email.

KEEP INFORMED BY DAILY MONITORING THE AEMO DATA DASHBOARD. And alert your friends to watch the AEMO dashboard, the more know what's happening the better.

Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.

Example:16th Oct 10.15am EDST. Batteries 0%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 28%, Brown Coal 13%, Gas 1%, Hydro 4% Diesel 0% Solar 23%, Wind 30% (Solar and Wind total of 53%, which is a good effort, but for how long. And solar is zero when the Sun sets). But what really counts is over a 24hr period. Renewables can be cheap for a few hours. But it is the average over 24hrs, that matters on your electricity bill.

We are up to 2,251 signatures, let’s increase it by many more, everyone’s future depends on it. Continue to spread the word, to all family, friends, anyone you meet, particularly discuss it with shop and business owners. Ask the question, “How do you plan to cope when the blackouts come? Are you thinking of buying a generator?
