There has been a request to change an Islamic school on Park Lee Road into a Mosque with dome roof. This has been attempted several times and has recived strenuous objections by local residents. The main areas of consern is the location of the mosque and the impact it will have on the local residence along with the hospice residence who are people requiring solice during there final days. The disruption of a mosque in this area will have a direct impact on the people using the hospice. There are also further issues such as lack of parking facilities and traffic congestion caused by the influx of people called to worship. This is also directly nwxt door to the resently updated birthing suite which caters to a large number of the locla comminity. This proposed site is already a Islamic school which is only a few yards from a county council school. To add another service with such a large demand will have a direct impact on the both school population as well as the locals who live in surrounding area.
