Black Lives Matter: Priti Patel needs to resign.

Black Lives Matter: Priti Patel needs to resign.
The Issue
We are not going to receive racial justice without a petition to stop Priti Patel who has not served the Windrush generation well and has done nothing recently to highlight the plight of black Britons and the unjust discrimination metered out by the police, the judiciary, the Health Service and other organisations. We have no faith in her or her policies and she will not further our cause for equal treatment. With a more enlightened Home Secretary who at least listens, sympathises and acts responsibly, Britain will be a better place for all of its citizens.
Since Priti Patel has been Home Secretary we have been dogged by her inability to consider immigration issues in a coherent way, particularly Windrush deportagion saga and recognise the abuse metered out to black people by her inappropriate responses to immigration and race. She appears not to understand the issues facing people of colour and will not be able to dismantle the institutionalised racism, which was highlighted in the Macpherson Report and the continued harassment of black people in Britain by the Police.
There needs to be a political will to change the status quo and dismantle the systems which discriminate against black people.
We need a Home Secretary who will be sensitive to the current issues around racial justice. We also need more Caribbean representation in the Houses of Parliament who will hopefully challenge the system in a constructive manner.
As a black elder I care about Britain and the consequences for my two grandchildren if change does not happen.
I do hope that change is coming and this petition is a constructive start so that black and white sympathisers' voices are heard and acted upon.
