Birmingham city council subjected residents to more than a year of bin strikes ( I’m still unsure if it’s fully resolved ) reason being they were bankrupt and needed to save money . Yet now they want to spend 2.6 million removing our country s flag  from lamp posts because they are old , worn or unsightly ( their reasons)  An old fallen torn flag is a lot less unsightly than rat infested rubbish left on the streets ! I’d rather see 2.6 million ( if you’ve now got it spare) be spent on other issues like fly tipping or blocked drains after recent floods . If you agree please sign . Surely we have a say in our money is spent
