Help End Child Slavery

Two-thirds of the world's cocoa (the main ingredient in chocolate) comes from the coast of West Africa where children are kidnapped or sold into slavery. These child slaves work from dawn until dusk and are often subjected to beatings to harvest the cocoa that we all enjoy on Halloween, Valentines, and all throughout the year. Even worse - chocolate companies such as Hershey's and Nestle know about the slavery, but continue to buy the cocoa from these plantations anyway, while hiding their secret from consumers. Perhaps because of this, the number of child slaves in West Africa and around the world continues to rise. Help end child slavery by showing these companies that you will not stand for such abuse to these children and deception to you. Let them know that they need to stop endorsing child slavery ASAP in accordance with the Harkin-Engle Protocol and if they cannot, then they need to at least have honest labeling on their packages. If you agree, sign the petition!
