Animal welfare, native plant awareness, Special Olympics NC, and other nonprofits need your help! Right now, HB-435 sits in the Senate Rules and Operations Committee, Chaired by Senator Bill Rabon, (Bill.Rabon@ncleg.gov) even though it was passed UNANIMOUSLY (116-0) by the house to advance. Please ask Senators to get this Bill off the Rules Committee desk and pass it successfully as soon as possible before it's denied. 

Why is this important? This bill affects more than 2,500 North Carolina constituents who paid or applied to show their support to one of these nonprofit organizations by ordering a specialty license plate to support their cause. These organizations have all followed the NCDMV rules, state legislature procedures, and have spent more than a year, sometimes more, in obtaining the applications and designing artwork - even costing the organizations money in the process. 

Please sign our petition to let our NC State Senators know how important it is to these hard-working nonprofit organizations that this bill be passed in the senate; these plates are an important fundraising effort, especially since COVID has decreased budgets of these state-focused charities that help members of our communities every day of the year!
