Tell the Maryland General Assembly to reconvene for a Special Session
The Issue
Marylanders are still not receiving their unemployment benefits. Our state is facing a fiscal crisis because of the economic shutdown caused by COVID-19. Parents are having to choose between working or staying home to take care of their children. Students are not able to go to school because our Local, State and Federal governments have failed to adequately deal with COVID-19 infection rate. These are just a few of the problems we are facing as a state and the Maryland General Assembly is choosing not to act while there is more human suffering every day that passes.
We are demanding that the Maryland General Assembly reconvene for a Special Session to deal with the crises caused by COVID-19 and the associated economic collapse.
