Bike/Pedestrian Bridge Bulimba to Teneriffe/Newstead!

The issue

The traffic congestion in the suburbs of Bulimba, Hawthorne, Balmoral and Morningside in the morning is abismal, and no widening of Wynnum Road is going to solve the problem!  What we need is for Brisbane to be a city of bridges, like most highly dense cities around the world.  We can not only solve traffic congestion problems by building a bridge from the back of Bulimba to Teneriffe/Newstead, but also encourage people to use more public transport in the process.  It also encourages people to go by foot, cycle or even scooter.  The number of cars this solution would reduce clogging the roads is astronomical, and would also provide the opportunity to cut down many peoples’ travel time by half!  Also, think of how much it will promote Brisbane people to lead a healthier lifestyle by riding to work, or even walking.  It’s not just about traffic, it’s about the people.
