Amit Jani has been appointed as National Asian American Pacific Islander Director to the presidential campaign for Joe Biden but he does not represent all South Asians. In fact the appointment is offensive to Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Kashmiris, and even Indians who believe in liberty and justice for all.

Amit Jani is a supporter of Narendra Modi a promoter of RSS, who was until banned from entering the United States for his role in the Gujarat Genocide of 2002 and the recent lynching and persecution of Christian, Sikh and Muslim minorities. Appointment of an RSS supporter to a position that  is supposed to promote diversity will result in polarization not agreement.

We request Vice President Joe Biden to let Amit Jani go and appoint someone acceptable to all sections of the Asian and Pacific Islander community to this position.
