The Problem

Nobody should be allowed to run their mouth like this and work for the government at the same time.

Lamar Lemmons, chief of staff for Detroit Senator Betty Jean Alexander, said Chaldeans made their “billions” off of “black food stamps,” which implies that Chaldeans are nothing more than local store owners in Detroit.

This is a false stereotype, but Lamar used it anyway—specifically as a premise for an argument that blames a whole other race for his own problems.

Lamar also stated that all/most Chaldeans vote republican, which could be true or false. Nobody actually knows for sure, and that’s the problem. Without real statistics and methods to track Chaldean voting patterns, we can objectively say Lamar’s second point is equally as baseless as the first one.

In other words, Lamar used two baseless points for his argument, one of which was based on an inaccurate stereotype, and the other was based on zero polling data and zero facts.

Most importantly, Lamar’s argument baselessly blamed a whole other race for his problems, which is a very racist and dangerous thing to do.

In fact, Lamar’s racist constituents have threatened to burn down Detroit businesses and kill Chaldean business owners "with their own weapons."

Their threats will be reported to the proper authorities.

For the record, we refer to them as Lamar’s constituents because Betty Jean Alexander is clearly not in charge, otherwise this man would have been fired a long time ago.

The Solution

Resign. There is no other solution.
