Recently I renewed my car insurance and added the non fault accident my wife had.  My renewal went up by over £200.

Why would it go so much when someone named on my insurance was involved in a non fault accident on their policy.  Their reason was because she was more at risk of having an accident again even though the other car went into the back of her.

Insurance companies need to be regulated better, it seems they have free rein to charge what they want based on mostly fiction, I moved house and the insurance company I was with used "there are a lot of Seat Leon's in your area" as an excuse to increase my premium.
