As some of you may already know, within the past month my father got in a serious motorcycle accident. I will never forget the phone call I received saying they had no information except that he was in a motorcycle accident and got flown to Baltimore Shock Trauma Center. My heart immediately dropped because I know my dad wasn't one to wear his helmets while riding his motorcycle. Luckily, this accident happened in Maryland where it is the law to wear helmets. Although, this accident was not my dads fault whatsoever, the helmet definitely saved his life. 

Right now the law in Delaware is that you have to have a helmet in your possession on a motorcycle for the person driving and the passengers if there are any, but it is their choice if they want to wear it or not. I strongly believe that it should be the law in Delaware for all motorcyclists and their passengers be required to wear helmets at all times, not just have them in their possession.
