While we are all very grateful for the success in making our voices of opposition heard against the outrageous proposal of Olympia Hills, we have just been informed of an extremely important meeting. Doug Young, the developer of Olympia Hills, and Michael Jensen, our district's SLC Council representative that strongly supported Olympia Hills, will be holding a meeting on Thursday, November 29th at Herriman City Hall from 6 to 9 pm to propose Olympia Hills 2.0.
As with the initial Olympia Hills proposal, it appears they are trying to keep it under the radar. Even though this is supposed to be a meeting for residents to hear the proposal and voice questions or concerns, there has been little to no effort put forth to publicize this meeting. One can only conclude that this is an attempt to minimally fulfill due diligence in order to state that the public was informed without opposition.
PLEASE take some time this Thursday night to come by and let yourself be seen/heard. We need to flood the meeting room with residents to make sure our political representatives know they cannot dismiss the voice of the people they are supposed to represent. Even if you can just make it for a few minutes anytime between 6 and 9, please take the time to come by.
Again, Olympia Hills 2.0 proposal on Thursday, November 29th at Herriman City Hall between 6 and 9 pm. We can make sure that decisions are made in our best interest, but only with our power in numbers!
Thank you!
