An important note to all our supporters. Despite a posting on the Board of Selectmen's web site (http://goo.gl/T1DzYo) advertising 6:00 pm office hours this evening, the Board of Selectmen's office has informed me that no such hours are planned for this evening. Rather, they will take place next Monday, 6/22, ahead of the scheduled BOS meeting at 7:00 pm. Accordingly, we will not be able to present our petition in person this evening as planned. Here is my plan: I will submit the current signatures (over 420) to the Board of Selectmen electronically this afternoon with a letter asking to have this issue added to the agenda of next week's Board meeting. I will share that letter in its entirety with you via Change.org. In the meantime: let's continue to circulate the petition and collect signatures. We will then present the petition (with any additional signatures) in person at next week's Selectman's meeting. It may also be worthwhile to schedule an organizing meeting for interested parties later in the week, ahead of the BOS meeting. Stay tuned for details on that.
